An element of surprise, was learning that PVC is very widely used. It’s used in windows, kitchen cabinets, even syringes. I was curious to learn how it’s made. The entire process is surprising. Now, thanks to my job, I know the ins and outs of PVC production. 

Explaining our jobs is not always easy. I surprise my kids by telling them that what we do is like making a cake. The PVC polymer is like the flour. Our customers then add other ingredients to create the PVC products we use every day.
